Blacklist: A list of e-mail addresses from which a user does not wish to receive mail; it may be used as part of a spam filter to hide or discard messages from addresses that appear on the list.
Blacklists are a one form of spam filter; they usually do not block or reject e-mail so much as merely route it to some destination of the user's choice (like the junk mail folder).
Blackhat ISP: Describes an internet provider that does not restrict the spamming activities of its customers, or works with them.
The latter is usually favored by individuals who prefer not to deal with spam at all.
Once used only by crackers, spyware is now used by mainstream companies to collect marketing information! Microsoft Media Player logs the songs and movies you play,Ping is not extremely useful by itself in spam investigation, but can be used to determine whether a host you are interested in is currently online.
Even if it had, it would not have disrupted the livelihoods of spammers to any great degree, since it permitted opt-out spamming.
Although not illegal, and may in theory work, this common type of spam is always a bad opportunity at best and a fraud at work.
Although there are a few successful multi-level marketing companies out there (amway, mary kay), notice that they are not the ones sending you spam.
