• To the visitor, the proxy itself appears to be the spam website, and there is no good way to tell that it is actually only a proxy.
• Even occasional users of the internet know how annoying and time consuming spam can be, like when you want to log onto the internet so you can quickly check your email and it becomes a time consuming process to sort through all of the offers.
• People who wish to avoid or deflect spam can make use of throwaway addresses in conjunction with other techniques.
